Brakes Going Clunk Clunk Clunk

When I roll up to a stop sign I hear a soft clunk clunk clunk.... when the brakes are applied. No idea where to start a diagnosis. Any ideas?

Also check front axle u joints, they clunk when slowing down if bad.
