Broken A/C wire

Picked up a '95 Wrangler this weekend. Starting into fixing all the little problems. The attached pic shows the hot wire coming from the A/C compressor runs into the wiring harness and past a small rubber block of some kind, Then it has been broken or pulled loose. I took a look at the back of the fuse block that is mounted on the right fender and expected to see the other end of the wire, but found nothing, Can anyone tell me where this tag end is suppose to run to?

At least you have ac in yours, when I bought mine....the previous owner had removed all ac parts. Good luck with yours though!

does it work without it? if so, then perhaps just cap it off. you said the hot ac wire runs into the fuse block then the stripped wire runs out of the block. so is there a chance this hot wire is to control something else?

Nope, The A/C does not run without it. The A/C lead does NOT run all the way to the fuse box. I suspect that it should, but I did not find the other loose tag end.
