I'm guessing you are talking about the pinion?
Ez out the broken bolts and drill out the threads. I'm not sure which one it is but you can then do away with the straps and put in the u bolts on the pinion. It's also a cheap upgrade.
and to answer your question, no I have not. I have the ford 8.8 with a flange! (super awesome)

Don't use a ez out they are crap. If all 4 bolts snaped then the ez out will probally snap too. Then you will need to drill out hardened steel.

I snapped mine so I just ordered a new pinion instead of trying a easyout. it was only like $25 from quadratec and was a quick install.
