CAD Problems

Ok, so recently during a wheeling trip I blew out my passenger u-joint. Given the circumstances we couldn't remove the axle at the time and had to wheel out with the shaft along for the ride. I was sure this would royally eff things up and it didn't disappoint. The passenger seal is wasted (obviously) and today as I am under the Jeep to replace it I yank the CAD off and find this.

Now I have never had the CAD open before; this is my first attempt at the infamous passenger seal. See that wiry looking thing to the right. That's a small, thin coil spring I found wrapped around the shift fork's shaft. I know I'm gonna need a new shift fork since the play in it is horrible, but what is this coil spring for, and how do I go about replacing it? Any help/advice that can be lent will certainly be appreciated.

Thank you!

I'm guessing it's part of the seal. Most seals have a spring inside them to hold the shape. Check your new one, and see if you can find the one out of the old seal.

Your CAD looks fine. What "play" are you referring to?
