As far as I know, no one makes this style anymore.

You want a California Jeep? Get one with the sport rollbar and take the top off altogether

Id buy one
It would need to work and seal correctly with full doors.

A wrap around rear window similar to the 70's Camaro style would be neat too.

Did you try 4WD.com? I have seen a number of different ones on their site. Or check with a canvas shop Boat covers..

I have one of these, and they company that did make them doesn't anymore. Here's my Renegade with the fastback top.

I really want one of these. I am upgrading my good ol' '91 YJ and I saw some pictures on the net of Jeeps with this style of top. Now that I know what I want -- i seems nobody makes them anymore. Any news out there?

That is a great idea if you live in California, where I lived when I bought this YJ.

Now I live in the Pacific NorthWest and it is cloudy and rainining 9 months out of the year -- but now that I'm cleaning up my Moss-covered Jeep I want to put it to use during more of the year -- don't need that rear headroom space in the back and a fastback top would be so nice!

Sorry for the bad link to a picture above: here's a corrected link.

The company that made mine top was in Canada; I can't find any active links to see if they are in business anymore.

The biggest issue on making these is that on YJ's there are guys running half doors with the 90 degree angle soft doors and then there are the full doors that have the rounded corners. I can't think of a good design that would work with both. Very likely anyone running half doors would need to get the Bestop rounded doors such as those run on the Supertop/Sunrider for the YJ.

The Rampage/Viking YJ frameless top is currently being worked on and will definitely be released. The option will only be available for those running the family style cage.

Doesnt the family bar defeat the whole purpose of the look we seem to be going for? the first pic (posted by Geoff@Bestop) clearly shows what the design wanted, the family bar sticks out and back way to far to accomplish that look.....

Yeah, the family bar kills the fastback look.

To a point. You still get a raked style in the back, but it's not quite as pronounced. Here's a pic of a YJ family bar style frameless top. They're running the Bestop soft upper doors. My comment was more directed towards the people that were mentioning the Viking/Rampage deal.

I am running full doors and only have a hard top. My question is how does it seal right with the full rounded doors? Know where I can get good discriptive pictures?

My top seals fine, at least as good as a factory top, with the hard doors. Notice the awning over the doors, which helps to not have rain dripping in like some other makers tops.

Ya they were made from a company called California soft tops out of Calgary, Alberta. I believe Bestop bought them and their technology/designs. After that they were gone - they created the bowless tops in the first place. Prob hard to find one now unless someone sells one that bought one originally.
