Fuel problems or carburetor?

I have a 1989 4.2l wrangler with rebuilt carburetor and recently rebuilt engine (I finished it monday). The jeep was running great monday, tuesday, and this morning, then out of the blue on my way home from college it started to die like it was flooding. The gas tank is full so I'm not running out of gas, but it will start, run for 5 min, then shutoff or almost shut off. I changed the fuel pump last year but could this be the problem?

Most likely a bad Ignition Control Module.

Is there a way to tell if the ignition control module is bad?

Does it just shut off with the Tach going to zero but still seems to be turning over while rolling in gear? Does it seem to just cut off, then turn back on eventually?

yes and yes, so that's the ignition control module then?

There's really no test. You'll see it under the coolant expansion tank held on by 3 10mm bolts. Just unplug and plug in a new one. Approx. $80 most parts stores.

Well I had to have it special ordered since no one around me carries it, I'll find out if that's the problem soon enough. Thanks for the help
