SO I have a 90 jeep wrangler, 4.2 inline 6. Strong motor but nothing but carb issues. Went with the weber carb. (32/36 DGEV), had alot of issues with it, mostly when you punched it, backfired, boggs out to point may stall-had to let off gas for it to catch up. In mudd puddle cant punch it to get out cause may stall from bogging out. So i called weber, got fuel regulator and did nutter bypass. Now they recommend new jets (which none of this was told when I first got it). Mechanics from no excuses in new eygpt (specialize in jeeps and great ratings) new jersey say they not big fans of weber carbs. Getting refund from weber, but mechanics recommend a carter replacement which is the crown carburetors. Thats what they are installing. I saw bad reviews on carters but they said these new ones arent problematic as older ones. Beyond frustrated, anyone have any opinions or recomondations? Next step gonna drive the jeep into ocean and get a pick up, lol.
