carburetor and cb antenna issues

hi new here just got my YJ this year already put a lot into it, ill post pics later.

my carb issue is a big problem its a weber carb the guy i got this jeep from rigged it in there took out the original carb and breather housing so the breather its got now is just sittin on the carb the hood holds it down the carb itself is an undescribable mess its been took apart and glued together thought i might be able to rebuild it since i cant afford a new one but im not sure, ill post some pics...

my cb antenna i mounted it on the light bar, been having issues with it as i originally had it mounted caddy from the radio antenna, still having issues when i key the mic it says antenna warning did a check says it passes but when i key and talk it says antenna fail, it passed the swr check and watts meter just fine though
not sure if its not grounded properly or if its my cb i have a cobra 29LX LCD

any comments very much appreciated

Your CB problem sounds like it's not grounded properly, try mounting it to the rear of the jeep that where it works best for me

That doesn't look like a weber...looks like the original carter. They can be problematic, but not unuseable. A rebuilt kit would be cheap & something you can do in an afternoon.

Or, you can find a junkyard Motorfraft 2 barrel & upgrade for under 100 bucks.
