Center Console HOT

First Jeep was an 07 JK, got rid of it and now just bought an 88 Sahara. Love it. Main thing I'm dealing with is the common Frame rot on the RH aft at the rear shackel. Just ordered a repair piece from Autorust.com. We'll see how that goes.

Anyway, I have noticed that the Center Console and Doghouse are getting real hot while driving. Since I am new to the older jeep, I didn't know if this was normal or not. Any comments would be appreciated

My '89 did that due to an exhaust leak from one of the emissions pipe. Crimped it shut.

My emissions pipe is plugged, but my whole front floor gets hot. I think it's because there's no insulation. I tried to drive with flip flops once, & had to go back home for some real shoes.
