Exclamation Check Engine light is coming on!

Hi, I have a 95 Jeep Wrangler, 4 cyl. My problem is that I can start the vehicle fine. As soon as I drive i get a check engine light that pops up. When that occurs, I soon find that it disappears while the car jerks. Then it will reappear a few seconds later and do the same process. The only thing that is added to this problem is that I smell faint gas fumes and my rpms raise high and low while I am slowing down. Any suggestions at all would be greatly appreciated.

The codes are 12,33,41,55. So the only one that could effect me is the Alternator field. That doesn't really help me much thought right? Because that is not the Alternator. It would have to be electrical though. Any directions?
