cigarette lighter and stereo stay on

hi ya. I have a 93 and has a slight electrical problem. when you turn the ignition off and remove the key the cigarette lighter stays on... meaning that the switched power for my stereo is wired to the cigarette lighter and therefore also stays on. sometimes it goes weeks without doing this but then, randomly, it starts doing it again. the length of time it stays on varies as well, sometimes it's seconds... sometimes as much as 5 minutes. I'm figuring it is a problem with the computer or something... any ideas?

Nah not the computer. Sounds like a bad relay. Sounds like the switched power is sticking.
