clutch pedal problem

I have a 93 yj w/4.0 the clutch pedal is staying almost on the floor, and not wanting to go into gear. It's full of fluid, could it have air in the line like brakes do? If so how do I bleed it out.

bleeding is straightforward most of the time - look at a Hayes manual. You open bleed screw on the slave (next to the transmission under the vehicle) and pump out the air without letting the master cylinder go dry.

Or it could be a bad Clutch Master Cylinder...had to replace mine last week. Symptoms were...
1. press clutch pedal lightly and it had no resistance and went to the floor easily.
2. Pumped it quickly and it would build up pressure but once down to the floor any pressure was gone quickly.

Took about an hour to replace.
