Clutch problem? need help asap!

Okay well today i was sitting at a light...i went to go and (still holding down the clutch in 1st) i let off the break and i hear the engine starting to go and i started to move slowly as if i was slowly letting of the clutch but i wasn't...any ideas>?!

Clutch going out. Did the engine rev or did you just start rolling like you might have been on a slope? Did it shift gears fine? any rattling coming from the tranny area?

it rev'd...but i had no prob shifting at all....i just stalled 2 times and was like what the...?

That is interesting. The only time I have seen that is when the clutch fingers are borken worn out that they will slip and the clutch will not hold the power back.
