Exclamation clutch problems

Would the pilot bearing being missing cause my hydraulic clutch to not fully engage on my 88 yj?

Don't know about your clutch but I would imagine it could as the throwout bearing is not sliding properly..... it sure is raising hell with your trans bearings and could be damaging main shaft bearings.
I can't imagine the throwout bearing is much better off.

I imagine it would. I would also expect a missing throwout bearing to play hell with things on both sides.

Silly as it sounds--because this happened to me last week---with your foot depressed all the way down and no full engagement on gear it could also be starved for fluid.

I had to bleed the slave cylinder and fill up nearly empty fluids (thanks, PO...) and I was good to go. Hope you get that lucky.

I changed my master and slave cylinder thought i fixed it, then after dumping the clutch, it dropped to the floorboard..took about 15 seconds to build pressure back.. the next morning i had no clutch. I have no leak, my fluids are full.

you have any of these symptoms?

Sounds like a bad master cylinder or needs to be bled again..

No, my clutch doesn't fully engage. Apperently if the pilot bearing is worn or not there it won't engage correctly. I ordered a new pilot bearing and a better throwout bearing to replace since ill have the tranny out.
