clutch slip in 4lo

hey guys I have a stock 95 wrangler with the 2.5/5spd. I recently replaced the clutch/flywheel, and rebuilt the transmission. everything is fine until I put into 4-lo. I have massive clutch slipping until I shift into 4th. 1-3 are almost useless. Clutch is past its break in point. Am I looking at an adjustment issue with the jamb screw on the shift arm? I cant see how there is much to play with there. Possibly a vacuum issue? I would really hate to drop the tranny again this soon to replace the clutch. It holds fine in 2hi and 4hi....

That is interesting, because if it were a clutch issue, it should do it no matter what gear, or what 4x position it is in.

Im thinking you would be good to remove it all and check it over real good. I had a weird issue pop up after replacing the clutch on my jeep, and come to find out I left one bolt finger tight on the flywheel. Didnt think that would cause my problem, but it did.

Maybe your transfer case linkage?

turned out to be the linkage. loosened the bolt and slid the linkage forward and tightened it back down. I guess it wasnt completely engaging.
