code help please

my check light came on today temp went low,,then after i shut it off went in store came out and it did,nt come back on..

so i shut it off turned key 3 times and my check light lite up 3 times..

can anyone tell me what this code is....??

It probably was 12 once pause then twice. If so i believe it just means computer is on.

soo thats not a bad thing then.....
i guess if it happens again i need to try and get the code while it,s happening ..

There's more to codes than that. When you sequence on-off-on-off-on you will get 3 flashes (2 slow and 1 fast) and a pause to let you know its working. Then the 2 digit codes begin. Example: 5 slow flashes, pause, followed by 4 slow flashes is code 54. Then moves to the next 2 digit code. And when its done it will flash 5 slow

sounds like i need to take it somewhere that knows these codes..or buy myself a code reader,,any ideas how much a code reader is???

i just hate not knowing these things my self...

You can probably get one at auto zone or pep boys for somewhere in the 100-150$ price range

Just read your code by the sequencing the key on-off-on-off-on. Post what codes u read and lotsa people here can tell you what they mean
