could use some assistance

im looking into buying a jeep i came across an add for a 1987 jeep wrangler and they are asking 6000 in my opinion thats too much.
this is the ad

I am selling my 1987 Jeep Wrangler. Looking for a car or something more fuel efficient. The Jeep is in absolutely perfect condition. No rust, no dings
or dents, and no leaks. It runs and drives fantastic. This Jeep is ready to go for the summer with the top off!

Jeep Wrangler

- 135,000 miles
- 4.2L V6 engine
- 4x4 works great
- NO RUST AT ALL - beautiful exterior
- 3 inch lift w/ 33 inch Radial tires
- Custom bumpers on front and back (will include original)
- Flood lights
- Comes with hard and soft doors
- Aftermarket BOSS stereo
- Leather interior
- Heat works great

PRICE IS NOT FIRM! Shoot me any reasonable offer. I am looking to sell soon! It is for sale but I will consider trades. $6000 OBO!

I looked at the pictures and the tires are 30x9.5r15 which are 30 inch tires not 33's not reall sure if it has a lift im thinking that it doesnt because it has the leaf spring suspension and judging from the pictures they look pretty flat. any advice from you jeep enthusiats would be great

Looks like he swapped out the rims and tires, by the way the lug nuts look, 6k is high, test drive and see if you even like it, then maybe 3500- 4500. depending on your area..good luck.

Price varies depeneding on your area, but $3.5k would be more reasonable here in Texas. Also it's an automatic, which would lesson the value IMO

Yeah the area you are in varies the price greatly. That would be a reasonable price here is southern California. I just bought an 88 with same stuff but a 5 speed for $5k. With very little rust on the winshield. Its depressing after getting on WR and seeing what everyone else paid for theirs in other states. But i guess gas is $4.50 a gallon here to. California SUCKS!!!

It does have a lift. That's not a stock suspension. It was painted. The top is a bit tired. The mileage isn't excessive. It needs new seats. I would pay 3,500 max for it. He's obviously attached to it, hence the 6,000 or best offer. I think your best offer should be 3,500. 3,700 if you must have it.

they used a cherokee design for the repaint. the gold on maroon is a cherokee scheme. the wrangler emblems are in the wrong spots, they are way to low. its got a really cheaply made center console that won't lock, i have hte same one. ac probably doesn;t work as the knobs look to be missing. it used to be a laredo edition because that interior is from the 87/88 laredo wrangler that came with a slightly different maroon paint. those are grand cherokee rims on it now with the horrible later model yj mirrors on the doors. it does indeed have a small lift. the turn signals are smoked so bet the tail lights are too. it still has the tilt steering though and since its a laredo, it should have

it does indeed have the intermittent wiper stalk on it so that probably still works too. and the cruise button is there to but it might not work

4.2 V6???

I don't know why anyone would say "PRICE IS NOT FIRM" that's just looking for low balls. Either way I think it's to much. I'm with everyone else, if the body and frame are perfect I wouldn't pay more then 3500.
