Couple questions for some fellow jeepers

Ok so first thangs first, today was the coldest day Georgia's had in a while, I got in and crunk her up at 5am, and took off for work. Half way I started smelling oil, got to work and big puddle of oil under the jeep, it looks to me like it came up out of the dip stick tube, do your thank the single digit temperature had my oil to thick? My oil pressure was higher than normal this morning for the first couple of minuets. Any ideas thanks?

Now the second question is here lately when I come to a stop, whether I put it in neutral or just push in the clutch, it will shut off unless I give it gas or put it in gear, my idea was maybe the alternator.

Any help is appreciated.

Just for kickers my poor ol' ax5 is on it's last leg, third gear hollers at me and only goes in when it wants to.

To your second question, my jeep did that in a rain storm. It turns out the ground cable rusted out and the computer fried itself. Got a new computer and solved the problem.

.
I have heard of a clogged PCV/CCV system causing oil to spew out of the dipstick. Also the oil pressure sender is right around that area on the engine and some times it fails and allows oil to spew all over the place.
