cowling bulb?

i have a question for the jeep guru's... on top of the cowling near the radio antenna is a black rubber bulb.. like a primer bulb on a new lawnmower... what is it for? i could find nothing in owners manual? thanks!!

oh, it's a 95 yj

I don't have one on my 93. Maybe it's something that PO added. It's not just covering up a hole is it?

My 95 dosen't have that, looks like some one needed to plug a hole.

If that's a 3/4" hole the PO probable had a CB or Ham radio antenna mounted there. Probable nothing more than a plug to keep water from getting in.

Ok Thanks, this is my first jeep and i just couldnt figure out what it was for lol... i can see it being a plug now.. its just soft rubber like a primer tho lol

if i had something that looked that outta place on my jeep, i'd take it off....and cover the hole with one of them wigglin, dancin hula girls....yep..

That's what I think. You also have an aftermarket radio antenna on there.
