crack in tub

hey yall. i've got a possibly serious problem.... i think it just happened today bc i've never noticed it b4. i've got a crack in the tub of my 91'. it is probably about 3 inches long right where the rear bolt for my seat mount is on my drivers seat (the bolt closest to the door and furthest back).... half of the crack is on either side of the bolt.... i would weld the crack shut and weld a plate on the bottom of the body under it to mount the seat mount too, but there is some type of chanel on the body right dead under the crack and i cant do any welding from the bottom side because of it.... any1 know of a good way to fix this? big of a problem is this? and what could cause this to happed? ( so i can fix that)... thanks in advance

Well REBELBULL: I also have a 91, and I have a identical crack in the same location. I have tried several times to fix it, with no luck. I also have a hole where the pasenger seat belt used to be but was ripped out before I got this jeep.
