I don't think the Transfer Case skid is loose. The transfer case was pulled and re-installed for a different problem, but this sound was there before and after that. So, I don't imagine that the t-case skid was loose before and then still loose after it was reinstalled.
I do see the reasoning behind that, though. If it was a clutch problem it wouldn't do it only in a turn and only when hot, right?
Another way to describe the sound is almost like a bolt stripping from being torqued. It's a creak, but it also has a pulse to it, which is why I thought it was a shutter or rattle at first.
I'm not much of a mechanic yet, so I appreciate any help. One of the reasons I bought an older jeep was to learn more about maintenance and repair.
