Cy transfer case linkage

Just purchase 1995 2.5 5 speed and the transfer case will go into 4 lo but the linkage binds when coming out. Have to crawl under and push it out. The transfer case arm is line up with the link rod and goes over center when trying to shift out of 4 lo.

You are coming out of 4L at a complete stop??? Has to be a complete stop going in and out of 4L.

$H is shift on the fly up to 55 mph says the book.

I'm shifting at stop. Looking for a picture of the transfer case shifter. I removed the shifter tonight and the mounting bracket was bent. The side transmission bolt hole will not line up.

Found the problem. Transfer case had the incorrect link arm installed. The d cut was at the incorrect angle.
