d 35 bearing replacement

Ok so I am going 2 start tearing down my d 35 tonight to replace all the bearings. I did it on my bravada and I know I didn't do it right but I've never had a problem with it. I want to do this one the right way so I know how to tear it down and put it back together I just need to know the tolerances. D0es any one know of a good how to thread or web site. My main worry is setting the preload on the pinion I read that its suposed to be like 10 in lbs (or is it ft lbs). How am I suposed to check that I don't have any thing to set it.. I also need to know the specks for setting the back lash and how 2 do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
