Which seals are you trying to replace? Ive always ordered from either 4wd.com or 4wheelparts.com and never had an issue. But I would just call the online store and or go into your local parts store with the old seals and match them up.
Dude...I know this. I know which side the CAD is on. I know which side the intermediate shaft is on. That isn't my question.
Above I posted 2 different seals for the YJ D30 right side seal. So the seal for the intermediate shaft. They have two different OD. I can't find any info on which one I need. That is the question.
Read my posts next time before posting. I had links to intermediate shaft seals. You asked which side I was replacing. I then answered you (even though that info was out there) and in your next post you told me which side the CAD was on. I had already said the CAD was on the right side in my 2nd post. You either don't read or don't know what you are talking about.
ANYWAY. does anyone know which seal I need for the intermediate shaft of a 95 yj.
Nice stan. I did that once and got a PM from a mod. Anyway. You don't think I have researched? I even called morris 4x4. They told me which one I need but I still have questions that morris was clueless about.
They have two parts listed with 2 different outside diameters. I want to know why are there two diameters. Did you read my first post? Was there an option for some YJs that have a larger axle tube or axle diameter. A year change.
I have looked all over. I see ppl talk about having a hard time finding the right seal and that auto parts stores don't have it.
AKA - I don't want to be up sh!t creek if I order them and they don't fix and not being able to find them locally.
There are a ton of threads on changing Dana 30 seals, which is why I gave you the link. I don't know Napa PNs.
I am pretty sure that I used Timken 710202 at the CAD, which were from OReilly.
If you have some doubt, pull the seal out and take it into the parts store. That's the only way to be 100% sure. It should be available at most stores. Or buy both the seals, and return the one that you don't need.
Also, buy two of the seals - that's a tough one to get installed properly. Buy two, and return one if you get it in on the first time.
I planned to buy two. I will look at your part and see the specs on it, thanks.
I think the biggest thing I was looking for was why are there two parts. With two different OD. Was their an option I don't know about for YJs that would require a different part.
It's nice that you posted the answer :drinks:- it'll help anyone else who stumbles along this thread in the future. Too many threads on here never get resolution.
