Dana 300 with flip kit OR Left drop Dana 20

I'm new to jeeps switched from turbo cars an this is confusing for me. I have a

87 wrangler
"36 tsl super swampers
"9 1/2 full traction lift
stock axles(for now dana floating 60's soon)
and hopefully a 4bt cummins soon
I got a POS np231 i was in a deep hole and blew a hole in the t-case the size of a baseball i don't want that to happen again.

I want a tough t-case that wont break and will go in without major machining and hassle these are the two i have come up with (Dana 300 with flip kit or Left drop Dana 20) looking for opinions and places i could buy them.

Flip a 300 and make it a doubler so you can do front wheel digs along with have a crawling ratio of super low. Dana 300 are a all gear driven case and basically bullet proof.

Welcome to the forum, and yeah go with the Dana 300, if you manage to break that than you deserve the title "Hardcore Wheeler of the year"

And post some pics of your Jeep, by the specs it sounds like a beast

Of the 3 cases I would take the np231. Tons of parts lower low range than the other two and bone simple to work on. I have ran all 3 of them. Other wise I would run an atlas.

ok if you are going to flip a dana 300 its not as simple as it sounds really it's not and its expensive. for what your doing. if your swapping axles in already anyway why not find a front axle passenger side drop and just put that in instead of the drivers drop much easier.

I say atlas. By the time you rack up all the cost of flipping a 300 you will be in range of an atlas. You get a better case, no headaches, and it won't break first in your situation.
