Dana 35 angle advice

Hello.

I've got a YJ that's lifted about 10''.

For the last 1.5 years i've twice changed all the joints in the rear driveshaft and twice repaired the joint ball. So i suppose that the rear axle angle is not right enough or maybe the problem is in the SYE.

So i need to know what is the length of "standard" SYE kit and the megashort one?

I hope that if i buy a megashort SYE kit my rear driveshaft's joints will work more that 5.000 kilometers))

With a SYE and a CV joint shaft, the correct angle of the rear pinion should be 4 degrees below pointing directly at the yoke on the SYE. Doesn't matter the amount of lift. The only thing that does matter is having the Jeep on its tires sitting on the ground with the normal amount of weight in it that you would expect to carry at all times.

In other words, if it is suspended in the air, the angle will be different than sitting on the ground, the same as the angle will be different if it has nothing in the back compared to 2 full grown men sitting in the rear seat. If the angle is off it will give you vibrations.

I get vibrations in mine (same set up-SYE/CV) if I have people sitting in the back seat. Because it was set up without any weight in the back at all.

The difference between the standard SYE and the short one is about 1 1/2"

Well i know that about tthe vibrations. In mine YJ vibrations start from 110 km/h (70 m/h). So i suppose that's all right.

I only care that i have to repair the rear driveshaft joints too often... And that's why it seems to me that something's working wrong))

Thanks for the length of the SYEs. I'll think about to change mine for a shorter one.
