Dash Lights

Just went to put LEDs in my gauge cluster. Some of the lights worked before I replaced them but now none of them work. I noticed a few of the new bulbs lit up while turning them to lock them in place but as soon as it locked they went off. Now I have no gauge lights. Anybody know what to do?

LEDs are polarity sensitive unlike normal bulbs.

Double check the connection too. Lots the cheap LED bulbs fall apart when installing.

Check the wires on the bulb. They are a really fine wire and get bent the wrong way a lot, the wire goes around the end of the bulb on both sides.

The light bulb holders pick up their power by contacting the copper panel that is in the gauge pod. You will have to remove it and take it apart and clean all the connectors one at a time.

Six screws one connector and take it to the kitchen table. Disassemble everything and clean thoroughly and then reassemble install and you should have lights.
89 2.5 TBI, 4" RC lift, 1" Booms, SYE, Adams Driveshafts front and rear, Ford 8.8 with 4:88s, BFG 33X12.50X15, and a ton of other stuff.
