Death Wobble

One of the threads is calling for Chrysler to do a recall on DW. I am wondering--How many miles does it take for this anomaly to show up. Chrysler is not going to do a recall on our vehicles if they are experiencing the problem at 75,000 miles or higher. These are Jeeps. We take them over the roughest terrain we can find just to prove how tough they are. They're just as capable of wearing out a stabilizer bar as any other vehicle on or off the road.
My Jeep has 110,000 miles on it and no death wobble. So when can I expect it to begin?

Just asking

Ron Baby.

It might never occur. And you are right, it can happen to any vehicle, not just Jeeps, so it seems pretty unlikely to me that Chrysler, Ford, Chevy and everyone else is going to do a recall on a wear item.....

never will be a recall for death wobble since there are too many things that can cause it-off balance driveshaft, worn hub bearings, worn tie rod ends, ball joints, stabilizer shock...even throwing off a main tire weight or getting a clod of mud behind a rim can do it....I've had it all and less than 55,000 on my rubicon! Only way they would do a recall is if one particular part (say, the tie rod ends) is proven defective.
Just go through a really deep and sticky mud hole some day, go home, let it all dry out and forget to pressure wash the backsides...then hit the highway at full'll get a deathwobble while the guy behind you gets a windshield full of muck!
What I want from Chrysler is bearings and ball joints that LAST A COUPLE YEARS instead of one season! They want us to drive their jeeps offroad, well BUILD THEM to take it! I'm getting tired of paying for all new brakes every 4,000 miles!
