dimmer switch rod.

I openned up the steering column yesterday and replaced a broken off blinker shaft. When I put it all back together, I didn't have any parts left over! I was so proud!!!! Well, unti I made a run after dark and realized that the dimmer switch didn't work. When I bought the jeep ('95) last weekend, the shaft was already broken off, so I don't know if the dimmer ever worked or it I failed to reconnent it during reassembly. I'm gonna open it back up in a day or two and have another look. How should the dimmer actuator rod be nested together with the multi function switch?

Dimmer Switch

The red arrow points to the Rod. The white thing is your Dimmer Switch. The rod is simply pushed into a hole at the switch and another on the turn signal lever.
If the rod is not there, you can still test the switch and cycle the lights by pushing down on the front of the switch where the rod normally connects.
