Yeah check out stainless steel brakes online. The only thing I would say to you is I feel your pain. I think drums are the worst thing ever and really want disks on my d35. But......the best option is just to get an axle that has them (Ford 8.8) I'm told. Since you're looking to strengthen up anyways, I believe 95 and newer explorers have disks on an 8.8 that would rival a D44 for strength. A good disk brake conversion kit is around 7 bones, and you could feasibly get a good axle and put new seals and oil in and get it under the jeep ready to go for not much more than that. Just my thoughts. Anyone hear what I'm sayin?
