does a 89 YJ have a flywheel position sensor

hello i have a 1989 jeep wrangler with a 258. automatic transmission. recently everyone once and a while the truck will not accelerate. it starts and idles perfect. but once u put it in gear it just becomes messed up. when it starts acting up it gets wurse as it gets warmer. yesterday it ran super fast after i did a full tune up. i was smoking the tires witch i have never done before(cant even spin the tires a tiny bit usaully). and than 10 seconds later the truck would instantly die if u touch the gas. i was thinking it could either be the flywheel position sensor or a bad coil, any ideas. at this point it is running good again, but i dont want to have another relapse of this when i am not at home.

An 89 4.2 doesn't have one. It could be the coil, but most likely it's a bad Ignition Control Module.

Its running ok know. I've come to realize that with all the upgrades, I am not getting hot enough spark to allow it to drive the way it should. I have 8mm wires and high performance stuff, witch doesn't help. So know I am gonna try the HEI kit. When mu past coil was cracked it was arcing out allowing more voltage to flow to spark plugs, and the truck temporaraly turned into a race car. It was sooooooo fast (can't be driving around with those huge sparks coming out of the coil though
