Doesn't want to go into gear from neutral?

After letting my YJ run in neutral to warm up in this bitter cold, he doesn't want to go into gear. I finally got him to after about 5 minutes of trying but I'm not sure if there's something wrong or not. Usually it takes a few tries when it's cold but I'm not sure. Right now It's -15 plus wind chill outside. My master slave was replaced a few months ago if that helps. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance

I'm also curious on this. When my Jeep is freezing I try to let it warm up for about 5-10 min also. But once I start driving it shifts into second really hard the first couple times, but the rest of my gears shift smooth. Could it just be from the cold?

I'd assume it's just the cold but it was odd that it took so long for it to even go into any gear. I'd let it run for 20 minutes before since it was so cold. But I guess with negative 15 degree temperatures it's most likely just that. Or at leAst I hope so!

I whould a synthetic oil in it, it's a lot thinner a cold weather and is a lot easier to shift.
