door question

Hello...I am new to this forum. I just bought a 1988 Jeep Wranger for hubby's birthday. He's always wanted one and think I found a great deal. My first question is what is the difference between a 1/2 door and a full door? I can't buy replacement parts if I don't know this And, and, and...very embarassed here...the owners manual only says WRANGLER. I think it is a YJ...don't know why I think that but from pix I've looked at that seems right (rather than Sahara or Laredo)...did they make JUST A WRANGLER? Am very excited to sweeten her up but know absolutely nothing about her. Her body is solid, inside just needs some good cleaning and some replacements, she passed inspection other than failed for gas cap. Thanks so much...anxious for your answer.

Welcome!

Yes, YJ is the Wranglers from 87-1995.

Here is a pic of my jeeps evolution. I added the full red doors, the white doors in the first corner pic are the half ones. Full doors are great for the hard tops, where half doors are great for soft tops. You came to the right place! Lots of help around here!!!
