Question Door won't shut in the cold

My driver's side door won't shut in the cold. I have to SLAM it shut or it just bounces right back open. I checked the door pin and it's rock solid, plus I don't have this problem when it's warmer, only in cold cold temperatures. Anyone else ever experience this? Or have any ideas on what causes it?

It's probably the grease on the latch itself. The grease doesn't work well in the cold...same issue with my Pathfinder. Try some brake cleaner then lubricate it with PB blaster graphite lube.

Is the latch opening fully my passenger side does that when someone doesn't pull the handle all the way and then it just bounces off the pin when I try and close it lube up the latch and see if that helps

Could be the door seal. Its not as flexible when cold. Doesn't squish as easily.

Next time its really cold, try pushing on the seal. if its really firm, try warming it with a hair dryer and see if it gets easier. If its the original seal it might just be an age thing.

Or get used to slaming your door...
