Drive shaft

i have a 95 yj and my U joints went bad on my rear driveshaft to the point were my drive shaft fell out. My question is can i drive it with the front driveshaft still on or will it ruin my transmisson.

Welcome.. For a short distance you should be fine driving in 4hi with just the front shaft. However, with out the rear shaft in I think you may get some fluid leaking fromt he rear output.. Unless you have an SYE installed then you should be okay. I have driven a CJ with just the front and it was a PITA. starting on a hills sucks...

you can for short distance how ever this will cause the tc to lose all fluid and if you drive too far you will be rebuilding or replacing it
