Driver side OEM seat removal

I am trying to pull my seats out so I can Herculine everything in the tub. There is one bolt that is driving me insane on the driver side. It's nearest to the door and on the right, I broke it loose and it just spins.

From what I can tell it looks like there is a nut under the Jeep holding it in.

Anyone have any tips or experienced this before?

I have used several sprays of PB Blaster but it still just spins and won't come out.

That bolt is part of the driver's seat bracket. On mine the nut was impossibly rusted on. The bolt and the nut appeared to have fused into one unit haha. I just cut it off because I had some extra brackets and didn't feel like wasting my time on it.

PS- I have an extra driver seat bracket if you go the route of cutting it off.

I think i am going the route of cutting it off. I literally spent a hour working on that bolt.

on my 04 TJ, there is no nut, just the bolt. sounds like maybe you stripped part of it or something.

I Herculined my jeep and I love it. Best thing i have ever done. But damn, the prep work was a pain in the a@s

On the YJs there are two bolts that get bolted straight into the floor and two that come out the bottom of the tub and are held on with a nut. It's the dumbest thing ever. But to the OP, if you need brackets PM me.

here is what i did.

I notched the seat bracket and just slid the bolt out. Then I cut off the bolt head it just slid through. To cut it I used my electrical 100MPH tape (the dremel)

i don't think i need the brackets i think i will just get a new bolt to push through it.
