What I did, removed the emergency brake, loosed the plate bolts at side if speaker grill, pulled out just a little the metal grill, stuck my hand in back and pulled old one out and put new one in. When I was done my hand looked like a cat got hold of it, but my new speakers sound great.

I unscrewed the dash, I could only pull it out maybe an inch and a half because I had A/C lines and such. I also dropped the parking brake assembly. I had the added pleasure of putting mirror relocation brackets in at the same time so it was fun. You have to put the inside nuts and washers on blind but it's doable. The hard part is tightening nuts blind. The windshield brackets and speakers probably took me about half a day.

It really only took me like 20 minutes to drop the windshield unbolt the dash slide it forward take the old ones out put the new ones in and bolt it all back together I didn't see why the car audio places wanted to charge me 120$ just to install the dash speakers no cut hands or cuss words or nothing

It is faster to drop the windshield and unbolt the dash. No cut up hands or contortion required.
