Wink EFI Tach Question

OK, I'm getting back to my Jeep. I replaced the crapurator with EFI from pick and pull parts as well as some off the shelf. It works great, but the Tach no longer works. I did the wiring and made sure I had the correct wiring, but the tach no workie.

Do I need to get a new tach? Do I just need to get a tach from a 1993-1995 (post EFI)?

Thanks for any assistance one could provide.

I'm pretty sure the tach in the '91-up gets a signal from the ecm. I've been told the tach in our pre-91 will work if you feed it from the coil negative. I haven't got that far yet.
