Okay here goes my first official posting: I have an 88 YJ 4.2L, which I have recently added an HEI distro, a 32/26 DGEV Weber (First 36 DGEC was a POS). My fuel pump is still mechanical, and doesn't seem to be affected by the Mr Gasket regulator I put on. So I have been told my problem is the mechanical fuel pump is a high flow high pressure (not sure that mechanical FPmps can be considered high pressure). Additionally, my Weber carb runs "ideally" with an electrical pump.
So pump in hand, carb on the way, HEI installed, new regulator installed, and looking to install the FPmp. Here is my question, I know I need to run a safety switch to the pump by using the Oil Pressure Switch/Gauge sender (OPSG). Problem is my OPSG only has one terminal.
Does anyone know what P/N I can use to solve my problems? Also, since this is a run only circuit (run as in having oil pressure), what other connections do I need to make. I have seen some pretty elaborate schematics, with nothing other than the OPSG being common.
Any help is greatly appreciated. i would like to get the install done this weekend.
