Engine dies after warming up...

So my Jeep is basically inoperable right now...

If I drive it around for more than 2 or 3 miles it just all the sudden shuts off. Then I can usually get it to turn back over, but it quickly shuts off. Eventually the problem gets worse and worse until it won't turn over anymore or it will fire up for a second but quickly die out.

If I leave it alone and let it cool down for a while it will fire right up again and go for another 2 or 3 miles again. When it runs it runs fine, but when it dies it just pretty much shuts off.

I've replaced:
ICM
Ignition Coil
Plugs and Wires
Crank Position Sensor
Fuel Filter

Fuel pump? Also the gas tank could be dirty inside and block the screen when you stir up the dirt from driving 2-3 miles.

Also check the plugs even though they are new. Cracked porcelain would screw those up

Would a fuel pump give out after running for a little while? It never happens when the engine is cold, it runs great until it warms up. I will definitely look into it since the PO had an inline pump on the Jeep when I got it for some reason. I removed that and the stock pump seemed to work fine for the past 3 years, but maybe its finally going.

I appreciate the suggestions, I will go get some new spark plugs tomorrow and swap em out. What is the best I can get from a local parts store?

I also wanted to bet the computer codes checked, however the Jeep mechanic in my area wants $85 to do it. Is this normal? Is there anywhere else I can get the codes checked? I know its not a common plug (89yj), so most parts shops don't have the right reader.

From what I understand anything before 91 Does not have codes, the connector just provides direct access to sensor readings. Although if I'm wrong you should be able to check codes by turning the key on and off and on and off and finally on again here your check engine light should start to blink the codes out.

It sounds like you have a 2.5 FI since you have a crank position sensor. Your fuel pump could be weak so there isn't enough pressure when warm/hot. That will cause your symptoms but so will a clogged pick up screen.
