engine oil additives

Have 4.0 with about 180,000 on it and runs great. Are the oil additives worth the money? Looking for a little advice. It is using some oil and does not smoke or have any leaks.

Go to polydyn.com and have a look at the TX-7. You can't buy it at auto parts stores so you'll need to search a retailer on they're website. This additive makes a difference!

lucas or marvel. but 2 things

1) if it's not got any problems, why are you looking for an additive?

2)if it's using oil, it's either leaking it or burning it.

There is a product called "Engine Restore" that works pretty well from what I have seen. I've been using it every 50-75k miles. I always sub a qt of Lucas with every oil change too

If you use a premium brand of motor oil you don't need any additives.
