Engine Question

Morning guys!

Bought a 1990 Islander on Saturday, it had a blown engine in it but the rest of the drive train was fine. As part of the deal I also got a working 4.2l 258 from 1981-85 I believe, that is connected to a borg warner T5 tranny and transfer case. I have decided to drop a diesel in instead, since I am pulling the frame and body and fixing her up, might as well have some fun.

My question is this, what is a fair asking price for the engine, tranny and transfer case? Its extra, and just laying in my garage, whatever I get out of it will help me in my build.

Thanks for the input!

If I were you I'd research what they sell for used online. We don't know the shape or amount of miles. See how much and what condition others are selling for.

Also, see if there are any local jeep clubs in your area, narrows the market for advertising.
