Engine Swap 2.5 L AMC 150

I have an 88 wrangler YJ that is needing the engine replaced. An option would be to rebuild but I have been told that I have an Renault engine. Parts are harder to find, not a true jeep engine, etc, etc. I am looking to replace this with a true Jeep engine. I am wondering if anybody has done this. I am looking for an engine (4 cyl is fine) that will marry up (direct bolt to tranny, motor mounts, etc) in place of the old. Are there any suggestions or should I just get the one I have rebuilt?

Go here and get a rebuilt one. www.sandjengines.com Your engine is older but not to sure about the Renault thing. Chrysler used AMC motors in Jeeps I'm pretty sure. But go there and search your year and size engine.

Best Oil

OK so I would like to get some input as to the best oil to run in a 2.5L TB. This is a new engine and what ever I am starting with I would like to keep the same consistency. This is my DD as well as offroad. Is there a difference in oil for wheeling? All comments welcomed. Thanks for the insights.
