I am also in need of a new exhaust on my 4.2l. How much is the Flowmaster 40 and does it have to be installed by a professional?

Guys instead of spending the 80 to $100 get a thrush muffler. My buddy told me about them so I bought one for my 1/2 ton Chevy and its sounds exactly of not better than flowmaster. I got mine from pepboys for $40. If you are good at welding they are pretty easy to install. If not have a muffler shop throw it on for you
