Question extended brake lines

hey guys, ive looked around a little bit, but not to much b.c the computer im on is dreadfully slow but anyway. i was wondering how much of a lift you could get before you must start extending your break lines. I was also wondering what all you would have to change if you did go over that height.

search for "lift reviews" "YJ lift" things like that... there are a ton of lift threads. I think as a general rule of thumb, if you go more than a 2-2.5" suspension, you'll need to start making mods to stearing, brake lines, etc... Not sure on a body lift but I seem to remember the highest you can go without changing to much would be a 2.5" suspension and a 1-1.5" body lift on top of it.

I got by for a long time with factory break lines with a 4 1/2 inch suspension lift by just taking the mounts loose on the frame and allowing the lines to move and pull a little, any lift over 4.5 (or if you are flexing extreme) the front soft lines should be extended.

I don't take any chances when it comes to brakes. My life depends on them.
I'd say any lift at all would need extending brake lines.

I have three inch body lift and 2 inch shackle lift. Not had to change a thing. brakes lines look like they did without lift. Fixing to take shackles off because they are the worst source of lifting a jeep possible. Bought 2.5" Old Man Emu leafs front/rear. Even with the 2.5" and 3" on body I wont be changing anything in brake lines. If not mistaken body lift will have no effect on lines. I prob wouldn't go more than 2.5" suspension lift on stock lines.
Might be in a 94 YJ. But man I sure do love it!!! And also this guy is my hero---->
