Finally hookin up the YJ

So I bought a 91' YJ about a year ago and just fell in love with the jeep world!! When I bought it already had a few nice things done to one being a 6inch pro-comp lift, nice rims and tires, hard top and the jeep was in an overall great condition with only 110,000 miles on the 4.0L straight 6 so i couldnt complain at this $2200 investment.

First day she came home
<a href="Pictures by flboi68 - Photobucket" target="_blank"><img src="http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...8/230e5715.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
<a href="Pictures by flboi68 - Photobucket" target="_blank"><img src="http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...8/9c025018.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
<a href="Pictures by flboi68 - Photobucket" target="_blank"><img src="http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...8/6b0dc4be.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
And those pics were taken after I cleaned her all up

So I dove it around for a few months when I decided it was time for some new rubber and maybe even switching up the rims. I went with 33inch Nitto Mud Grapplers with 16inch soft 8's

I also added flush mount rear brake lights and threw some tint on the windows(simple i know lol)
Here are a few pics
<a href="Pictures by flboi68 - Photobucket" target="_blank"><img src="http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...8/d7d2d285.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
<a href="Pictures by flboi68 - Photobucket" target="_blank"><img src="http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...8/4b8a8f8c.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
<a href="Pictures by flboi68 - Photobucket" target="_blank"><img src="http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...8/89173acd.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
<a href="Pictures by flboi68 - Photobucket" target="_blank"><img src="http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...8/b5dc18b9.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
They def changed the look and gave it a more aggressive look

After that I really didnt do much for a few months but then decided I needed to do something about the rusted out windshield frame I had because water was getting in when it rained so first quick fix I did was replace the cowl seal and it still leaked so I decided to just go with a brand new windshield frame and glass(I cracked it when i layed it down on the hood to replace cowl seal lol) when the parts arrived I started taken the old one off when i noticed more and more rust from where water had gotten in over the year(and let me tell ya it wasnt pleasant). So since I had already gone that far I had decided to replace the rusted out dash panel frame which was almost completely eatin out. And taking all those dash components out wasnt a whole lot of fun taking out thats also when I ran into more rust! Heres a few pics of that project.
<a href="Pictures by flboi68 - Photobucket" target="_blank"><img src="http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...8/0e44000f.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

The wiring was a mess who ever had this jeep before me just twisted wires together with out even taping them to secure them which is pretty ghetto lol!

Thats as far as I got now will update soon

For $2200 around here you're lucky to find a 4-banger with the only thing holding it together some hubba bubba bubblegum. Nice find!

Here is what a very very good deal looks like in my area for 2000! and keep in mind.. i searched for this for like... 2 months lol.. then had to drive 6 hours to get her

After 6 months of work.?? It still barley looks as good as yours! lol

the only thing i'd change about it now is where the jack is located, you kinda don't want that where you might hit something, bend that jack and your screwed....i'd either put it behind the push bar on the bumper, on the hood, or on/in the back somewhere....otherwise thats one clean jeep, and a damn good deal, i can only hope i get mine looking like that someday(need better hard doors)

I forgot to throw this on here well here it is...when I was tearin the dash down I noticed that I had some pretty bad rust on my dash panel so when I got it off I bought a used one from Collins brothers out of Wylie tx for 145.00 not bad considering I couldn't find one anywhere! When I got it in the mail it had a lil more surface rust on it than I thought so it took a lil more but here's some pics from start to finish
