Depends on how much rust you have. My frame was rusted out on both sides near the rear shackles. The bottom of my frame was gone under the shackles so plates wouldn't work. Remember you have to have good metal to weld to. Plus both my cross members that held the gas tank were rusted to. Since it hadn't had rear shock towers in years I added some of those as well. I went with Safety Cap replacement metal. You only need the top of the frame to be good shape with the caps. Good Luck!

They fit really well and the Shackle sleeve is pre-installed.
I did this repair on both sides a couple months back and so far so good.
