Front axle swap

What is the track width of a TJ compared to a YJ? Can a TJ D44 from a Rubicon be readily swapped into a YJ?

If you're already there, you might want to do coils on the front of the YJ too. How much of the TJ parts are you getting? Just the axle? Steering?

I don't have the parts yet but I have my new frame ready to mount my stuff to and feel that it's time to upgrade the Dana30. I installed a D 44 from DTS already and am installing 35s. Don't think the 30 will hold up well to the 5.7 and some foot.

My question remains, is the TJ axle width the same as the YJ? Will my steering components transfer over? Or, would I have to change everything from the pitman arm down? I'm going to stay with the leaf springs. I've had this for 23 years and like leafs. Thanks to all who may have info. on this swap.

The coil over Dana 44 sounds interesting, so instead of hijacking I started this.

You will find overall width and length of the two models on wikipedia. Pretty sure the TJ is wider.
