If your left axle shaft is bent you can easily find one in a junk yard.

You only have one front drive shaft and it's not left or right it just front also found in a junk yard.

You can always shop the 4wd.com 's of the world to buy new parts but you'll have to buy left and right together and it will be stronger than stock which is only necessary for real big tires and 31's don't qualify.

How did you bend your shaft? Usually it breaks or you need to replace the u-joint... not the whole shaft it self.

Ok. I miss named the part.

The left axle shaft is bent.

I had all the u-joints replaced and they could not replace the u-joints on the left front due to the bent axle shaft.

You can try the salvage yards but these days they'll usually make you buy the whole Dana 30 just to get the shafts. You may just have to buy a new one from the online stores.
Quadratec lists an Axle Shaft assembly (driver's side) '87-95 for $159.99 part #52400.10
http://www.quadratec.com/products/52400_10.htm
It looks like it comes with U-joint.

thanks, thats what i need.

a little history.
I was looking for a jeep and my lovely wife was trying to surprize me.
I came home from work one day and this 87 white wrangler was in my yard.

My wife had good intentions but met with a less than truthfull seller.

anyway. the position that i am in now is that she paid to much for a jeep with a lot of problems. (i.e.) wipers dont work, brake lights dont work, horn dont work, speedo dont work and the jeep has a vibration above 40 mph. ( i am assuming that the bent axle shaft is causing this.
so since i can never get my money back i will spend what i have to to get this thing in drivable shape.

I allso think i may have a fuel pump issue. if the jeep is not started everyday you have to pump the gas pedal and crank it over several times to start it.

If your wife bought you a Jeep, she's definitely a keeper!
There is no such thing as a bad Jeep. Only neglected ones.
All YJ's will have a few problems by now as most are entering their 20's. Fixing all of it's problems is a way of making a Jeep your own. Think of it as a challenge and have fun.

yeah she is a keeper.

I just wish i was better with a wrench so i could do these repairs myself.

I was hoping to have the jeep up and going by deer season. but it may be a little later than that.

Oh well. maybe by the first snow.

So you bent a axle shaft-- NOT a driveshaft. Ok so to the questions-

What do you plan to do with the jeep? Just drive it down the road? Go to the junk yard and get a shaft for 15 bucks and run it. If you want to wheel look at superior g2. umm axleten I believe. They are all great aftermarket shafts.
