Going to be installing a front locker in my YJ and also my wife's TJ. Question is, from reading the adds in Quadratrac and 4wd.com the ones I am seeing recommend the lockout hub conversion kit. Any truth to this or are they just wanting to sale more stuff?
Depends on your budget, if you can go air or e locker I'd go that way but dont see a need for manual lock outs. Unfortunately my jeep was built on a tight budget so I got the Aussie, but I couldn't be happier with it. Best $250 upgrade so far.
The wife's jeep has a Detroit truelock in the rear now. So I will probably do an Aussie up front on her's. She does not do near the stuff I do in mine right now. But that can all change as she gets more seat time.
On mine I have an 8.8 with 4.56 and ARB already set up just waiting on me to get the time(have to fix my mom's TJ next) to get it put in and when I do I will put the ARB in the front of mine.
